The first NFPOI to be funded by responsibility.com.au requires $4,000,000 for its first stage of development. It is anticipated this funding will come from profit from sale of The Too Hard Basket, and from loans and donations received from the public. Once $800,000 is raised traditional financing can be used, if necessary, for the balance.
The business will strive to be more socially and environmentally responsible than its competitors. Competitively priced accommodation will be constructed using the latest environmentally friendly technologies. Once established this business will become self sufficient financially, further funding will only be needed for expansion.
Two full time staff will be required once funding is secured, and several casuals will be needed when construction is complete.
